Fountains & Fire Features

Water and fire features provide another dimension of benefits to your backyard design. Both features can offer stunning visual effects and create a more soothing backyard environment for you and your family to enjoy.

Types of Water and Fire Features:

Water Features: The addition of water features to your pool design can enhance the visual aesthetic in your backyard as well as provide soothing sounds and fun water play.  Sierra Pools and Spas can install any of the following water features in your backyard:

Natural Rock Waterfalls: Nothing brings a tropical or natural theme to your pool design better than a rock waterfall.  Our rock waterfalls are custom designed to match your pool aesthetic and add visual dimension to your backyard.  A rock waterfall can even incorporate other features such as slides, grottos, and diving rocks to create an interactive space for you and your family to enjoy.  Pricing on our rock waterfalls varies greatly from project to project. You will have the ability to decide, size, style, shape, and the type of rock you want to see on your rock waterfall and if you are unsure of what you are looking for our pool specialists can help you pick the best style of waterfall for your pool design.

Water Slides: Looking for an activity to add to your pool that isn’t a diving board? Water slides are a perfect feature. It can provide endless fun for kids and adults alike! We can offer you a variety of pre-fabricated stand-alone water slides or we can even create a custom water slide to fit in your natural rock waterfall.

Sheer Descent Waterfall: A sheer descent waterfall refers to a straight, linear, waterfall. Sheer descent waterfalls create a clear arc of water that projects outward from the pool wall and come in a variety of lengths. A sheer descent waterfall is a great addition to any raised wall or to any pool, but they especially compliment a modern or geometric pool design. Sheer descents provide a soothing sound effect to enjoy any time of the day. They provide a classic and elegant look to a pool design and can be a perfect “wow” factor.

Spillways: Spillways are a standard feature on any attached spa. Our spas are typically raised 18” above the pool and have one spillway, or sometimes multiple spillways, where the water from the spa spills over into the pool. Not only do spillways create a beautiful visual effect, but they also serve a practical purpose of recirculating the water from the attached spa. Spillways can range in size and look beautiful on both geometric and freeform spas.

Water Bowls: For a more elegant water feature you might consider adding a water bowl to your pool design. Our water bowls come in a variety of colors and finishes such as concrete, copper, and metallic finishes. The positioning of the water bowls are up to you, but we find them to look best sitting on a raised wall or raised pillar. Water bowls also provide a soothing sound effect.

Deck Jets: Deck jets form arcs of water from your deck to your pool or spa. These water features are a fun and exciting addition to your pool design especially for kids. For an even more exciting water feature, we offer laminar deck jets which provide a colored arc of water from deck to pool or spa through the use of LED light. Deck Jets are perfect if you are looking for a more simple route for a water feature.

Bubblers: Bubblers create a column of water that bubbles up off of a shelf in your pool. These small water features are a great addition to any tanning ledge, beach entry, or even a bench.. Kids, and even your pets, will love splashing in the water and the sound of bubbling water creates a soothing environment for those who want to relax in the sun. We can also add LED lights to bubblers to create an enhanced water feature at night time.

Fire Features:

Fire features can bring beautiful visuals to your backyard design and can compliment your pool aesthetically while also providing warmth on those chilly nights! Take a look at the fire features Sierra Pools & Spas recommend.

Fire Bowls: Like a water bowl, a fire bowl is an elegant fire feature that can be added to your pool design. Fire bowls come in a variety of colors and finishes such as concrete, copper, and metallic finishes. Fire bowls typically come in a square or circular shape. They are a beautiful addition to both geometric and freeform pools. All fire bowls are gas powered and can either be manual or automatic.

Fire Pits: A fire pit brings the campfire to your backyard! At Sierra Pools and Spas we can custom design a fire pit that will compliment your pool design and provide the perfect hangout area for you and your family to enjoy on those cooler nights. Fire pits can be connected to your pool or pulled away from it. The design of a swim up fire pit is perfect for cooler nights. Fire pits can be wood burning or gas powered.

Fireplaces: For something a little more contained and structured than a fire pit you might consider an outdoor fireplace. Outdoor fireplaces can be stand alone or can be added to another outdoor structure like a pergola or porch addition. Fireplaces can be wood burning or gas powered. Fireplaces are a great addition to add to your backyard for any intimate or family setting.
